This is to inform you that FR. THOMAS H. O’GORMAN, S.J., died early this morning, November 22, in the Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, Loyola Heights, Q.C. Fr. Tom, 89, was in decline since early July when he fell and sustained fractures that severely limited mobility. He entered the Society in 1950 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1963.
Given pandemic considerations, Fr. Tom’s remains will be cremated and the ashes brought to the JHWC for in-house memorial Masses there and at other communities on campus. The funeral Mass is scheduled at 8 a.m. on Saturday, 27 November; interment follows in the Province Cemetery at Sacred Heart Novitiate.
