This is to inform you that FR. ROQUE J. FERRIOLS, S.J., died just after midnight this morning in the Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, Loyola Heights, Q.C. He passed away one day short of his 97th birthday, and had been in general decline over the past couple of weeks. Fr. Roque entered the Society in 1941 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1954.
Given pandemic considerations, Fr. Roque’s remains will be cremated this afternoon and the ashes brought to the JHWC for in-house memorial Masses there and in other communities on campus. The schedule of Wake Masses and their links, for those who wish to participate online, are as follows:
