With great sadness we wish to inform you that FR. MANUEL B. PEREZ, SJ, died peacefully about 10:30 p.m. on August 10, 2022 in The Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, Loyola Heights, Q.C. Doc Manny, 66, had been in decline over the past months, since cancer of his kidney was discovered. He entered the Society in 1986 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1997.
Given pandemic considerations, Doc Manny’s remains will be cremated and the ashes brought to the JHWC for in-house memorial Masses there and at other communities on campus.
