This is to inform you that FR. JOSE T. BACATAN, S.J., died on September 9, 2021 in the Jesuit Residence of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Fr. Pepe, 90, had been incapacitated for quite some time. He entered the Society in 1951 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1965.
Wake Masses are scheduled in AdZU’s Church of the Sacred Heart, at noon today and on Monday; at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The funeral Mass will be in the same place, on Tuesday, 14 September, at 9 a.m. Most Rev. M. Cuevas, D.D., Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Zamboanga, will preside. Burial follows the Mass in the Jesuit Cemetery at the University’s William H. Kreutz. SJ Campus in Tumaga.
