This is to inform you that FR. JESUS V. FERNANDEZ, S.J., died early last evening in the Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, Loyola Heights, Q.C. Fr. Jess, 90, had been bed ridden for quite some time. He entered the Society in 1950 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1964.
Given pandemic considerations, Fr. Jess’s remains will be cremated and the ashes brought to the JHWC for in-house memorial Masses there and at other communities on campus. The funeral Mass is scheduled at 8 a.m. on Saturday, 27 November; interment follows in the Province Cemetery at Sacred Heart Novitiate. Requiescat in pace.
