PH Jesuits Celebrate Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

July 9, 2018

The Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus invites you to the celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola on July 29, 2018, Sunday at 3pm in the Ateneo de Manila University High School Covered Courts. Fr. Primitivo E. Viray, SJ, our provincial superior, will be the presider and homilist.

This year we also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Philippine Province after the restoration of the Society of Jesus. On February 3, 1958, the Philippine Vice-Province was made into an independent Province with Fr. Francis X. Clark, SJ as our first provincial.

In this mass, we shall likewise pray for the victims of extrajudicial killings in the country, especially in the Diocese of Caloocan, the diocese with one of the highest recorded incidents of EJK. In consideration of the welfare of the families of these victims, a special collection will be held during the Mass to constitute an educational fund for the children of the victims of extra-judicial killings in the Diocese of Caloocan.

Checks may be addressed to the Philippine Jesuit Aid Association.
