Scholastics from Arrupe International Residence have just come back from a month spent in Tagaytay, south of Manila, for Arrupe Month, a period of deepening of self-knowledge and Jesuit identity to prepare them for ordination to the priesthood. From June 1 to 17, they reflected on

From June 1 to 17, they reflected on human and spiritual formation, hearing the vocation stories of their fellow Arrupean brothers and Jesuit priests, and also from lay collaborators who shared about their experience in working with the Jesuits.

They also visited the New Bilibid Prisons Reservation where the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation is based and Bukid Kabataan (children’s farm), a centre run by the Good Shepherd Sisters for children who have been physically and sexually abused, neglected and abandoned.

Arrupe Month concluded with an eight-day retreat from June 17 to 26 directed by Fr Yves Camus, a French Jesuit missionary in Taiwan, Fr Kim Young-hoon SJ and Fr Hartono Budi SJ.
