AIR Triple Celebration
The Arrupe International Community held a three-in-one dinner celebration on Saturday, April 29 to thank outgoing AIR Rector Fr Pops Repole, to welcome incoming Rector Fr Riyo Mursanto and to celebrate the 81st birthday of Fr Adolfo Nicolás.
Fr Pops has served as AIR Rector for six years. He is now preparing for a six-month sabbatical before taking on his new role as rector of San Jose Major Seminary located not far from AIR. Fr Riyo is a former Provincial of the Indonesia Province. He lived in AIR for three years when he was Socius to Fr Nicolás, who was then President of the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific. Fr Nicolás, after stepping down as General of the Society, has come back to Manila and now lives at AIR.
