After the two modules on Anger Management, Arrupeans are now ready to face any “anger-situation.” The program was offered by the office of Health and Wellness of the Philippine Province headed by Dr. Florge Sy, S.J., himself a former Arrupean. The first module (in November) focused on the theory of Anger Management. Drs. Gabby Dy-Liacco and Luz Querubin gave the enlightening conferences. To provide a follow up to the conference, a workshop was conceived and held on 10 January 2015 with more facilitators assisting in the small-group processing sessions. Each participant was asked to remember an “anger experience” and rate his level of anger on the Anger Meter. Each experience was then analyzed or processed in various levels: physical/physiological, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual. From these, plans or strategies for “lowering down the level in the anger meter” were proposed should similar situations arise in the future. These two exercises were really very helpful in at least becoming more aware of how to deal with anger situations. Possible further follow-up sessions may be offered in the future. Arrupe is very grateful to the organizers and givers. (Picture not during the seminar but on Christmas eve)
